After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Fine Art from NSCAD University, YP dedicated countless hours in the studio to refining technique, process, and creative intent. This foundation led to a growing body of work showcased in group exhibitions, eventually culminating in a solo show at the Anna Leonowens Gallery in Halifax.

Deeply inspired by the energy and creativity found in art spaces across cities like New York, Chicago, Tokyo, and Beijing, YP found tattooing to be a natural extension of their artistic practice—bringing fine art off the walls and onto living, breathing canvases.

Since completing an apprenticeship in 2018, YP’s tattoo work has evolved into a fusion of narrative storytelling, fine line precision, and micro-realism. Drawing from a strong fine art foundation, each tattoo becomes a deeply personal collaboration—translating memories, beliefs, and aspirations into lasting imagery.

Every piece is part of an ongoing journey—one shaped by trust, shared vision, and the power of art to move through time and space. YP looks forward to continuing that journey with each new client and story.
