Starting from $200–$250 + HST per hour

The hourly rate is typically used for small and medium-scale tattoos or projects that can be completed within a few hours. The exact rate varies by artist, experience, specialization, demand, and project requirements.

For smaller tattoos, our studio minimum is $200 + HST. Projects requiring more time are priced at the artist's applicable hourly rate.

Hourly pricing may also apply to larger projects when a session does not require a full day of tattooing or when the artist recommends a shorter session.

Full-Day Sessions

Starting at $1,400 + HST

When a tattoo is expected to require approximately 6–7 hours or more of tattooing, it will typically be booked as a full-day session rather than being charged at an hourly rate.

Full-day sessions allow the artist to dedicate an entire day to the project and are generally used for larger-scale tattoos, highly detailed work, or projects that require a significant amount of continuous tattooing time.

How We Determine the Pricing

Pricing is generally determined by the size and scope of the project, estimated tattooing time, style, and artist.

As a general guideline:

• Small-scale tattoos: Typically quoted at the studio minimum of $200 + HST or the artist's hourly rate, depending on the project.

• Medium-scale tattoos: Usually quoted using the artist's hourly rate or full session depending on the level of detail

• Large-scale tattoos: Generally booked as full-day sessions when the tattoo is expected to require approximately 6–7 hours or more.

Consecutive sessions always depend on the condition and healing of the skin. The artist will assess the tattoo throughout the process and may recommend additional time between sessions when necessary.

Estimated Session Requirements

The number of sessions required will depend on factors such as size, placement, style, level of detail, saturation, and the artist's approach.

Different styles can progress at very different speeds. For example, some illustrative work may move faster than highly detailed black and grey realism, even when the tattoos are similar in size.

The examples below are intended as general guidelines:

Project- Typical Sessions

• Arm Sleeve: 4–8+ sessions

• Chest Piece: 2–5+ sessions

• Back Piece: 6–12+ sessions

• Leg Sleeve: 6–8+ sessions

What Can Affect the Number of Sessions?

Several factors can influence how long a tattoo takes and how many sessions are required:

• Style: Different styles progress at different speeds.

• Level of detail: Fine textures, intricate linework, and realistic shading can increase tattooing time.

• Placement: Certain areas may require additional consideration during the tattooing process.

• Size and scale: Larger projects generally require more tattooing time.

• Saturation and coverage: Dense black, colour, or extensive coverage can require additional time.

• Artist specialization: Each artist may approach the same concept differently.

• Skin response: Healing and skin condition can affect how quickly sessions can safely continue.

Travelling Clients & Consecutive Sessions

We understand that travelling for a larger tattoo project involves additional planning and expenses, including flights, accommodation, and time away from home. Clients travelling from outside Canada or overseas can typically schedule three to four consecutive full-day sessions, when appropriate, to make the most of their visit. In these cases, a video consultation with the artist will apply to discuss the project and plan the sessions in advance.
